iRAS is a two-plane angle scanner for measuring logs in length transport. Even at conveyor speeds in excess of 300 meters per minute, iRAS measures extremely accurately diameter and length of the log. An exact length profile is produced.

iRAS recognizes the top diameter of the log. This makes it possible to control log turners. It is not even necessary to interrupt the log delivery system due to the intelligent configuration of the iRAS measuring sensors. iRAS also records sweep accurately and precise.

The calculated data are instantaneously available at the control logic of the machine center as well as downstream in the primary breakdown process optimizing each subsequent step. iRAS is authorized by the German, Austrian and Italian metric offices for industrial standardization (DIN, öNorm, NI).
